SEEKONK, Mass. — Chase Silvia used a smooth move early in the finale of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown and never looked back on Friday night. Silvia found himself at the front of the field quickly, capturing his seventh victory in 10 races in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw season. Not only did he win the race, Silvia also earned the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series championship trophy, adding to his already impressive 2022 season. Bradley Strickland worked through the pack and had closed to the bumper of Silvia, but had to settle for second. Andrew Gomes, Mikey LeFort III and Adam Harrison finished the top-five after 15 laps. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, August 13 for another 15-lap feature. SEEKONK, Mass. — AJ Manuel wasn’t going to be denied. In his final race in the Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 division, Manuel raced from the back to the front well before the halfway point, scored the feature win and also captured the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series title for 2022. Only running three races this season, Manuel made it count, winning all three of them in what he says will be his final ride. Henry Lavallee followed up a victory the week before and returned to the podium in second, while Crystal Murray continued her own podium streak, finishing in third. Justin Leduc scored a career best, a fourth-place finish, while Tyler Duhancik followed in fifth spot after 30 laps. The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s will return to the track on Friday, August 13 for another 25-lap feature. SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway is preparing for a full weekend of racing this Friday and Saturday, August 5-6, as Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Finale weekend rolls onto the track.
On Fast Friday, all five divisions have a final four of drivers ready to battle for the 2022 Triple Crown — and only one driver in each will leave with the it. In order to win, drivers will simply have to beat the other three on the track. The highest finishing of the four in their respective division will be the 2022 Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown champion. All races on Fast Friday except the two in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero divisions will be five extra laps. This means the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series race will be set for 30 laps, with AJ Manuel, Mikey LeFort, Jarrod Freitas and Tyler Duhancik battling for the crown. In the first two races of the Triple Crown chase, Manuel started at the tail of the field, found his way through the pack and rolled to Victory Lane. Can a three-peat of wins come at the perfect time to earn him the Triple Crown in his farewell race? LeFort, a former multiple-time champion, could be one of the major threats to stand in his way, as a proven winner. Freitas and Duhancik both have wins during the 2022 season and have shown top-five speed on a weekly basis. In the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, Greg Perry, Danny Massa, Tim Ouellette and Sam Lincoln will race for the title. Perry and Massa have already won races in 2022, with Perry capturing two wins, and Massa earning one of his own, and currently leading the point standings. Lincoln, who is riding momentum off a podium run last week, will look to seal his first Triple Crown title in fine fashion. Ouellette has been quiet this season, but could find the perfect time to spark in Friday’s 30-lap feature. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits chase will come down to Milania Shilosky, Darren Krantz, Ryan Vanasse Jr. and Nick Uhrig Jr. The first three of those names each have multiple wins during the season — with Vanasse capturing his second checkered flag just last week. Uhrig has a podium finish just a few races ago and would love to have his career breakthrough moment in their 15-lap feature. In the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, Chase Silvia, Andrew Gomes, Joey LeMay and Bradley Strickland will race for the Triple Crown. Three of them have won this year — including first-time wins for Strickland and Gomes in the last two weeks. Silvia has been to Victory Lane in six of the nine races this season, while LeMay has been quiet, but pointed his way into the finale and should be considered a threat to win. And in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars, the four drivers set to battle include Brendon Hammann, Devin Deshaies, Mason Tessier and Reese Bogue. Hammann won early in the year and has been on the podium since, but seems to have cooled off a bit heading for the end of the summer. Will this be a rebound race to steer him back on track? Deshaies is a similar story, winning early and slowing down, but has been a master of consistency with top-five finishes in most events. Tessier has two wins in the last four events, while Bogue has been quiet, but would love to use the Triple Crown title to bolster his resume. SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time in 2022, Mike Henriques rolled into Victory Lane in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks on Friday night. Henriques used the outside lane to pass Ed Gould for the top spot in the second half of the race, then held off Sam Lincoln in the final circuits to take another win. Henriques, who has a habit of winning for the first time in September each year, now has two wins before the month of August. Lincoln would finish second in the 25-lap race, while Gould was able to grab third — his best career run in the Pure Stocks. Nick Brightman followed up a victory the week before in fourth, followed by Mike Rotondo, who scored a top-five finish. Jared Cordeira finished sixth, followed by Greg Perry, Jordan Threlfall, Danny Massa and Matthew Talblot. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, August 5 for the final round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series. Gomes had come close for many weeks, but finally was able to knock off his first win and was ecstatic in Victory Lane. Chase Silvia, who has six wins so far this season, capped off another podium run with a second-place effort. Mikey LeFort III also returned to the podium for a second straight week, finishing in the third spot. Dylan Calabro grabbed his career best finish in fourth and Adam “Hollywood” Harrison rounded out the top-five. Bobby Bettencourt III started on the pole for the first time and finished sixth, followed by Leo Rossi, Abbie Badejo, Nathan Rioux and Bradley Strickland. Lavallee had won in the Sport 4 division years ago, closer to the inception of the class, but this time, he was happy to finally hold the checkered flag again. Murray finished second, continuing her streak of podium runs in most events in 2022, while Tyler Duhancik finished in third spot. Daniel Hayes and Jarrod Freitas completed the top-five. Justin Leduc finished sixth, followed by DJ Thibeault, Taylor Bowser, Jacob Budznya and Rob Gajdowski. SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time in 2022, Ryan Vanasse Jr. climbed out of the No. 11 in Victory Lane at Seekonk Speedway on Friday night. Vanasse used a mid-race move to take the top spot and never looked back in the 15-lap Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit feature, winning again in impressive fashion. Vanasse is one of only a few winners in the youth racing division this season and has been inside the top-five many times over the course of the first three months. Parker Davis captured his best career Seekonk Speedway finish with a second-place effort, while Rodney Dowles rolled to the podium, coming off a win the week before with a third-place finish. Collin Vanasse and Milania Shilosky rounded out the top-five after 15 laps. Sam Macedo finished in sixth spot, followed by Allyha DeSomma, Bryson Robidoux, Nick Uhrig Jr. and Isaiah Anderson. SEEKONK, Mass. — One week after coming so close, Isaiah Newcomb finally parked his No. 22 Legend Car in Victory Lane at Seekonk Speedway. Newcomb quickly worked his way to the front during the 25-lap feature and held off the best of the best behind him to take down his first career win. While Newcomb raced to the win, the story was the battle behind him. In some of the closest Legends Cars racing the track has seen in 2022, Devin Deshaies and Mason Tessier ended the race in a tie based on their transponders. Behind them, Nicholaus Bulkeley and Jacob “Rowdy” Burns finished the top-five. Brendon Hammann, Reese Bogue, Jake Silvia, Josh Parsons and Brandon Tiezzi finished the top-10. The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will return to the track on Friday, July 29, for another 25-lap feature. SEEKONK, Mass. — The Brightman family name was back in Victory Lane at Seekonk Speedway on Friday night, but it was a new driver on the top. Nick Brightman captured his first career win in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, holding off the best of the division over the final laps to score the impressive victory. Brightman led the whole race — 25 laps — but it wasn’t easy. He had multiple drivers hounding the back bumper, trying to find a way around, but they weren’t able to do it on this night. Driving the No. 5, he celebrated for the first time. Greg Perry, a two-time champion, finished second, while Danny Massa followed in third. Jordan Threlfall and Sam Lincoln completed the top-five spots. Timmy Ouellette was sixth, followed by Mike Henriques, Jared Cordeira, Ethan Souza and Ed Gould.
