![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — Chase Silvia has the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws figured out at Seekonk Speedway. For the ninth time this season, Silvia rocketed to Victory Lane on Friday night, passing for the lead early and holding off some hard chargers to earn another trip to Victory Lane. Silvia had to beat Brent Robidoux and Bradley Strickland to the final laps, while the two of them put together one of the more impressive races of the season. Even though Silvia won again, he was ecstatic in Victory Lane, showing the true passion behind the wheel. Robidoux edged Strickland across the line for second spot during his birthday celebration, while Strickland was also thrilled to return to the podium in third. Adam Harrison returned from some early race issues to finish fourth, while Dylan Calabro completed the top-five. Mikey LeFort III was sixth, followed by Bobby Bettencourt III, Andrew Gomes, Tucker Bock and Abbie Badejo. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, August 27, for another 15-lap feature. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — When race fans showed up to Seekonk Speedway on Friday night, many of them didn’t know the name Benjamin Moribeto. However, after 15 laps in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, everyone at the track knew who the driver of the No. 17 was. Moribeto got to the lead just before halfway in a busy and wreck-filled race, but in the end, he wasn’t going to be denied. Moribeto drove away from Ryan Vanasse Jr. and Milania Shilosky on a late restart to take his first career Seekonk win in his debut at the third-mile. Vanasse and Shilosky returned to the podium once again, finishing second and third in the 15-lapper. Behind them, Sam “The Green Hornet” Macedo was fourth and Luka Dib scored a top-five finish, one of the best runs of his career. Behind them, Brody Wakefield was sixth, followed by Kix Bock, Nick Uhrig Jr., Bryson Robidoux and Rodney Dowless. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track on Friday, August 27, for another 15-lap feature. The chase for the inaugural Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuels is quickly approaching us, and things took a turn this past Friday. Coming off the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown finale, the focus was completely on the features. Let’s look at how they turned out for drivers who are still in the hunt for the playoffs and what it means for them coming into this week, Friday, August 19, for another round of Fast Friday action. Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit Division ran for 15 laps this past weekend and once again, Darren Krantz Jr. took down the win, making it two in a row for the defending champion. He took the lead on a nice cut inside early on and did not let up from there. He now holds a four-point lead over Milania Shilosky and a 34-point lead over Ryan Vanasse Jr. for first. All three of these drivers will be racing for the championship this season. That takes care of the first half of the playoff picture, now let’s look at the second half. If you didn’t know already, the Bandoleros have the top 6 drivers get into the playoffs instead of the top 8. Collin Vanasse holds fourth place and much like his cousin, he will be racing in September. Sam “The Green Hornet” Macedo sits in fifth and will more than likely race in the playoffs. But the big story is at the bottom, where we find a new driver in sixth place. A top-10 finish was sufficient for Nick Uhrig Jr. to claim sixth place in the points standings with 392 points, four off of fifth place. Bryson Robidoux now finds himself on the outside looking in with 388 points and Parker Davis with 380 points. These drivers aren’t far behind, and the difference between a Top 5 and a Top 10 could determine the outcome of their seasons. Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws The dominance continued this past Friday in the Outlaws, with Chase Silvia making it eight wins out of eleven races. He now has a total of 542 points, more than any other driver at The Action of The East. Silvia seesawed back and forth all race until lap 13 when he passed Mikey LeFort III and found himself in Victory Lane. Behind him in the standings is Andrew Gomes with 494 points and a climbing and consistent Bradley Strickland with 434. It is known that Chase Silvia is winning this division and these three drivers will have some extra-curricular racing to do and generally, they are all spread far apart. Yet the last half of the playoff field is the complete opposite. Joey Lemay, Adam Harrison, and newcomer into the top-six Brent Robidoux are all separated by a whopping two points. Lemay and Harrison have 432 and currently sit in fourth and fifth place. Robidoux follows them with 430. Brent was on the outside looking in but a second-place finish last Friday put him in the playoff picture. Mikey LeFort III dropped to seventh in the standings. Along with LeFort, rookie competitor Bobby Bettencourt III sits in eighth place with 394 points. The season looks to be over for Bettencourt as far as his chances to make the playoffs, but not for LeFort. To have a chance at the postseason, he’ll have to grab at least one more podium finish. It’s anyone’s guess who will grab that final playoff spot. And again, with two weeks left to go, there is no room for error. Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s This division gave us the most bittersweet race of the evening last week. But this week, the happy one wasn’t AJ Manuel, it was Fall River’s Tyler Duhancik. The Phil’s Propane #48 battled with Justin Leduc, who came in second (his best finish all year) all race and found himself in Victory Lane for the second time this season. Still on top is Crystal Murray with 502 points. Duhancik is right behind her with 494. Henry Lavalle, Jarrod Freitas, and Taylor Bowser sit in 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. All will be locked in for September. Daniel Hayes moves to sixth with 368 points. But near the bottom is where it gets fun. First-year racer Stephanie Bruneau climbs to seventh and has shown consistency all season. She should be into the Sunoco Race Fuels Drive For The Cup. Karlin Levesque slid to eighth. For those that don’t know, Levesque sold the #44 car to Cassius Mitchell who in two weeks, has two top 10 finishes. Justin Leduc is in ninth and if he has one more solid performance, he’ll be in the playoffs. If not, DJ Thibeault or even Christine Cavallaro could race for a trophy. With two races left, there are many more questions than answers at this point in the Sport 4’s. As long as those in contention stay consistent, all questions will be answered and they will promise to give us one of the most exciting finishes in recent memory. Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks Finally, The Rock has come back to…. For those of you that got the reference, thank you! If not, that’s okay! And by The Rock, I mean Jordan Threlfall and he is back in Victory Lane. He grabbed his first win of the season and his second in two years. Threlfall was the polesitter in this one and was able to lead wire to wire and as a bonus, he found himself one place higher in the points standings. Threlfall now sits fifth in the points standings and will be racing for a trophy this fall. Ahead of him, we find Danny Massa, Sam “Hot Rod” Lincoln, Greg Perry, and Mike Henriques. The difference between them all is 28 points. These five, along with sixth-placed Jeremy Lambert, will be racing in the playoffs, barring something extraordinary. However, it is still unknown who will join them. Currently, Jared Cordeira and Mike Rotondo sit in 7th and 8th place. Cordeira bumped up a spot and now has 364 points whereas Rotondo has 356. On the outside looking in we find Ethan Souza. Souza has 348 points and a feature win this season. If he wants to race in September, he’ll have to duplicate his winning efforts. Nick’s Pit Stop Legends It is now clear that Mother Nature does not like the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends. The cars were bunching up and “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins filled the track when it rained and rained, and it did not go away. As a result, our points standings stay the same. Devin Deshaies leads with Reese Bogue and Nick Bulkeley right behind him. In the middle, we find Brendon Hammann, Isaiah Newcomb, and Mason Tessier, who has been on a roll as of late. Rounding out the playoff field are Jake Silvia and Brendon LaBelle. LaBelle has 298 points and on the outside looking in is Josh Parsons with 292 points. Parsons won the last feature and another podium finish for him could mean trophy racing next month. Richie Helger Jr. isn’t far behind either in his Rookie season. In Conclusion Only two weeks remain before the playoffs begin, and the battle on the bubble is only drawing tighter across all five divisions on Fast Friday. Come on out and witness for yourself who can lock themselves into the first ever Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuels. The battle continues this Friday, August 19 at 7:00PM. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — Chase Silvia captured his eighth victory of the season in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws on Friday night. Driving the No. 17, Silvia has clearly been the dominant force in the division during the 2022 season, now scoring victories in all but three of the 11 events so far on the schedule. This win was one of the tougher victories of his season, as Silvia had to work his way from the middle of the field to the front, then pass Mikey LeFort III to take another feature win. Silvia bested Brent Robidoux across the line for the victory, while Robidoux finished second, a strong run after a couple of tough weeks. Bradley Strickland would finish third in the 15-lap race, followed by Adam Harrison and Mikey LeFort III across the line. Andrew Gomes was sixth, followed by Dylan Calabro, Jordan Duquette, Bobby Bettencourt III and Joey LeMay. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, August 19, for another 15-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest updates. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — Jordan Threlfall had been fast all year, but it hadn’t quite worked out to get him his first win of the season. But, after 25 laps on Friday night, Threlfall captured the victory in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, while the rain started to fall. Threlfall started at the front, and led the entire 25-lap distance, holding off a hard charge from Sam Lincoln in the final few laps to take down the victory. Lincoln, who captured the Triple Crown championship last week, followed it up with a second-place effort this week. Mike Henriques followed up his victory the week before finishing in third. Greg Perry worked his way from the back of the field to finish in fourth, while Jared Cordeira completed the top-five spots. Ethan Souza finished sixth, followed by Ed Gould, Timmy Ouellette, Jim Reilly and Mike Rotondo. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, August 19, for another 25-lap feature. But alas, it is here. And with three weeks to go before the inaugural Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuels, the race for the playoffs is coming down to the wire. Even though last Friday marked the finale of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, the season-long points battles still presented themselves for those drivers sitting close by the bubble, and this Friday, the races for the playoffs continue to get tighter and they continue to mean more. Let’s take a look at how Friday’s features unfolded for our drivers who are still in the hunt for the playoffs and what it means for them coming into this week. Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit Division took to the third mile for 15 laps this past weekend and in the end, Darren Krantz Jr. took down the win as well as the 2022 Everett’s Triple Crown for the division. He had to fight hard early to win this one and overcome the likes of Parker Davis, Allyha DeSomma, and Ryan Vanasse Jr. His win keeps him at the top of the standings by two points over Milania Shilosky, but deeper in the field is where things get interesting. Unlike the other divisions, the Bandoleros have the top 6 drivers get into the playoffs instead of the top 8. Currently, Bryson Robidoux sits in sixth place with 364 points and has Nick Uhrig Jr. chasing him for that final spot with 356 points. While the battle for the final playoff spot heats up, it will be interesting to see who slides up and down the standings. For the most part, this division has its playoff field set. Along with Krantz and Shilosky, Ryan Vanasse Jr, Collin Vanasse, and Sam “The Green Hornet” Macedo will most likely be racing in September. Along with Uhrig, Parker Davis is also on the outside looking in with 338 points. It will be interesting to see how this division plays out with both the top of the field and the bottom being razor-thin. Can Krantz hold on to his lead? Will Shilosky call herself regular season champ? Can Robidoux survive? Will Uhrig find himself racing for a trophy? All of these questions will be answered in three weeks! Until then, sit back and watch these 8-12-year-olds make your jaws drop. Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws Dominance. That’s the one word associated with this division. Chase Silvia has won 7 out of 10 races this season, has 492 points, and has not finished outside of the top five. This past Friday, he added to his lead in the points standings by picking up the win and the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Championship. He took the lead in lap number two and did not give it up. Andrew Gomes is right behind him in the standings with 454 points. With that in mind, it’s clear who is going to be the Outlaw points leader at the end of August when the playoffs prepare to begin. However, it is not clear who is going to be racing in September. Bradley Strickland and Adam Harrison currently sit in fifth and sixth place and are tied at 388 points. Both of these drivers have stepped up their game in recent weeks, but so has Brent Robidoux. Brent is currently on the outside looking in with 382 points. The margin for error is slim and all it could take is one bad night for one of these drivers to find themselves out of contention. In the middle of the pack, we find Mikey LeFort, III in third place, and Joey LeMay in fourth. LeFort has stepped up his game recently with consecutive podium finishes for the first time all season, whereas LeMay has gone in the opposite direction. He started the season constantly on the podium but recently, he hasn’t been able to get over the hump. He still sits in fourth place and has a great chance of getting into the playoffs, just where is the looming question. If he or LeFort can pick up a win, it would give them a much-needed confidence booster ahead of September. While the winner has been consistent, much of this division has not been. It’s anyone’s ballgame for that final playoff spot. And again, the margin for error is very slim. Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4s gave us the most bittersweet race of the evening last week. When the checkered flag soared, it was AJ Manuel who crossed the start/finish line first, grabbing his third feature win of the season out of three races run, and he also claimed his first ever triple crown title. Meanwhile, near the top of the standings, Crystal Murray grew her lead over Tyler Duhancik. She now sits 10 points clear with three weeks to go. In the middle of the pack, Henry Lavalle, Jarrod Freitas, and Taylor Bowser sit in 3rd, 4th, and 6th place and seem to be locks for September. LaVallee and Freitas have picked up wins this season, whereas Bowser has not. Can she get to victory lane with only three races left? Now, you might ask “What about 5th place?” Karlin Levesque currently holds that spot. However, he sold his car to a young man by the name of Cassius Mitchell last week. So, it will be interesting to see if anyone can slide up the standings and knock him out. Towards the bottom, Daniel Hayes and Stephanie Bruneau latch onto the 7th and 8th positions. Hayes has 328 points and Bruneau has 322. A rookie competitor, Bruneau making the playoffs would mean so much after the passing of her father, Mr. Tom Scully, earlier in the year. On the outside sits Justin Leduc with 278 points. It may not be too late for Leduc; if he can pull a podium finish soon, that fight for the final playoff spot is going to be very feisty. Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks The Pure Stocks took to the track for their 30-lap feature and in the end, Mike Henriques sat in Victory Lane. He grabbed his third win of the season while fighting off the eventual Triple Crown Champion Sam Lincoln, Greg Perry, and Danny Massa. Henriques took hold of the lead after a caution and did not let it up. Thus finding himself a winner for the third time this season. With the victory, Mike sits in 4th place, 10 points behind Greg Perry for third. Atop the leaderboard sits Danny Massa with 440 points and Lincoln sits behind him. These four, along with Jeremy Lambert and Jordan Threlfall, who occupy 5th and 6th place, will be racing in the playoffs, barring a miracle. However, the same cannot be said about the bottom two. Currently, Mike Rotondo and Jared Cordeira sit in 7th and 8th place. With 326 points, it is more than likely Rotondo will make the playoffs. However, Ethan Souza has a win this season and is only 14 points off of Cordeira. This division has been nothing short of exciting in 2022, and that trend promises to continue over the rest of the season. If Souza can win another race, he’ll more than likely be racing for a trophy. If not, it could be game over for his title hopes. Nick’s Pit Stop Legends This is arguably the most exhilarating division on a Fast Friday evening. Josh Parsons was the polesitter and the winner of this one last week. But it was Mason Tessier who stole the headlines. After an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty placed him on probation, many wrote Mason off and said he had no chance of winning the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown. Yet he prevailed with a 6th place finish, which was good enough for a trophy. Leading the standings is Devin Deshaies, who has won multiple races this season and has been in top form over the last few weeks. Behind him is Reese Bogue who gets stronger every week and Nick Bulkeley, who inches closer to Victory Lane every week. Brendon Hammann, Isaiah Newcomb, and Mason Tessier sit in 4, 5, and 6. Newcomb and Tessier have been phenomenal over the last month, whereas Hammann hasn’t won a race in over two months. All drivers could use a seat in victory lane to boost their confidence heading towards September. Towards the bottom, Jake Silvia should hold onto that 7th place spot. As for 8th, it’s anyone’s game. Brenden LaBelle currently holds that spot, but Josh Parsons is only six points back and Richie Helger Jr. is 16 points back. It's anyone’s guess as to who will finish in 8th place. And the difference could be something as simple as finishing Top 4, or Top 5. In Conclusion Only three weeks remain before the playoffs begin, and the battle of the bubble is only drawing tighter across all five divisions. Come on out and witness for yourself who can lock themselves into the first ever Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuel. The battle continues this Friday, August 12 at 7:00PM. For tickets and more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit seekonkspeedway.com and find us on social media! PIT PARTY, FANS ON PARADE, MONSTER TRUCKS & MORE HEADLINE TRIPLEHEADER WEEKEND AT SEEKONK SPEEDWAY8/10/2022 ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time this year, it’s time for Seekonk Speedway to do the triple this weekend. Set for three straight days of racing beginning on Friday, August 12 with Fast Friday and ending on Sunday, August 14 with the second and final Monster Truck appearance of the year, NASCAR Saturday will be smashed in the middle to complete a full card of racing. On Fast Friday, the race for the inaugural Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuel continues with just three weeks remaining before the playoff field is set for the Bandolero divisions, Legends Cars, Pure Stocks and Sport 4’s. On NASCAR Saturday, the annual Pit Party will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the pit area, where fans can enter and meet the cars and stars of the track up close and personal. The night also includes the annual Fans on Parade event, where the fans can take a walk around the track during intermission to show support for their favorite driver. On Sunday, the Monster Trucks invade Seekonk Speedway along with the Troy City Tactical Spectator Drags and their one-on-one drags and the Summer Showdown race. Racing on Friday begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday rolls off at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets for all three events are available today online at SeekonkSpeedway.com, where you can purchase both pit passes and grandstand admission and skip the lines on race day. In Friday’s Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero divisions, Darren Krantz Jr. (Bandits) and Chase Silvia (Outlaws) look to continue their lead in the championship standings. In both of the Bandolero classes, only the top-six drivers at the end of August will advance into the playoffs. Right now, Bryson Robidoux leads Nick Uhrig Jr. by just eight points in the Bandit race for sixth, while Bradley Strickland and Adam Harrison are fifth and sixth in the Outlaws, leading Brent Robidoux by just six points. In the Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 class, the race for the final playoff spot has quieted down, and the race for the feature win in Friday’s 25-lap feature could see a first-time winner. Is this the week Taylor Bowser breaks into prime form out front? Can someone like Daniel Hayes or Justin Leduc or Stephanie Bruneau grab their first checkered flag? The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks and Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars divisions have both been a toss-up lately when trying to pick a winner. Mike Henriques has three wins on the season in the Pure Stocks, including the last two events, but Sam Lincoln, the Triple Crown champion, and names like Jordan Threllfall, Mike Rotondo and Jared Cordeira haven’t been far behind. Right now, Cordeira leads Ethan Souza by 14 points for the final playoff spot. In the Legends Cars, Mason Tessier has been the hot driver lately, but names like Devin Deshaies, Brendon Hammann and others will look to get back to the top this week. Have you seen their race for eighth in the playoffs? Jake Silvia, Josh Parsons, Brendan LaBelle and Richie Helger Jr. are all separated by just about 20 points. NASCAR Saturday will be busy with the Pit Party from 4:30-5:30PM, while intermission will be packed with the Fans on Parade. On the track, Dave Darling looks to return to prime form again and capture the win in the Pro Stock 40-lap feature. He will be chased by names like Rick Martin, Mike Brightman, Tom Scully Jr., Tommy Adams and more in the main event. The Late Model division could see another driver add their name to the list of repeat winners in 2022. Chase Belcher and Gerry DeGasparre Jr. are some of the only drivers to visit Victory Lane more than once, with Gerry winning three times, and Chase twice. Names like Vinnie Arrenegado, points leader Richie Murray, Paul Lallier and others all will look to get back to the top. In the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman, Chad Baxter has been the dominant force for the last month, but will look to hold off names like Craig Pianka, Ed Perry, Doug Benoit and Scott Serydysnki Jr. in their 25-lap feature on Saturday night. Can a name like Colby Lambert or Adam Pettey get to Victory Lane? The Chaz Auto Body Sport Truck division currently has one of the tightest playoff battles in all nine of Seekonk’s divisions, with Tom Scully III leading Jake Vanada by just over 10 points. While all eyes will be on their race for the playoffs, the feature win is still up for battle this Saturday night in their 25-lap feature. Update to Sundays Monster Truck Show Due to some trucks having mechanical damage and not being able to get parts in time for this weekends event we have had to adjust a line up still featuring six great trucks. We apologize to anyone who was expecting to see a certain truck as these circumstances are out of our control. Tickets for all of the remaining 2022 Seekonk Speedway events are available today at SeekonkSpeedway.com. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — While Mike Henriques celebrated his third victory of the season in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, Sam Lincoln also celebrated on Friday night. Henriques seems to have hit a streak of extra success the last month, as this was the second straight victory for the driver of the No. 03. While Henriques won the 30-lap Triple Crown finale, Lincoln grabbed a podium finish, which was enough to give him the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series title in 2022. Lincoln is still looking for his first career win, but the Triple Crown trophy will do for now. Greg Perry raced to the front to finish third, while Nick Brightman and Danny Massa finished the top-five spots. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, August 13 for another 25-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — Josh Parsons started from the pole in Friday’s 30-lap Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars feature and wasn’t going to let anyone take him off the top. Parsons led the entire distance to take the No. 09 back to Victory Lane for the first time in a while in the competitive class. While Parsons won, Mason Tessier scored a sixth-place finish, capturing the championship in the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series. PJ Evans charged from the back in the race to finish second, while Nicholaus Bulkeley finished in third spot. Jacob Burns and Jake Silvia completed the top-five. The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will return to the track on Friday, August 13 for another 25-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media. ![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — Darren Krantz Jr. did everything he needed to do in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits on Friday night. Krantz rocketed to the front of the field early in the 15-lap Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series finale and held off all challengers when it mattered most. Not only did Krantz add another victory to his 2022 season, but he was able to also pickup the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series championship. While Krantz won, Milania Shilosky raced through the field in the second half of the race to finish second. Collin Vanasse went to the rear of the field twice, but was able to work his way back up to finish third. Ryan Vanasse Jr and Rodney Dowless completed the top-five. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track on Friday, August 13 for another 15-lap feature.
