![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — For the first time in a long time, Bobby Pelland III was celebrating in Seekonk Speedway Victory Lane on Saturday night in a Late Model. Pelland rolled to the lead quickly in the second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, but he had to work for it. Luke Lebrun put up a fierce charge over the final laps, taking the top spot from Pelland on lap 20. From there, the two battled hard for many of the remaining circuits, knowing a spot in the Triple Crown finals was on the line. But Pelland fought back and made sure he finished the job. Lebrun followed him to the line in second, with Dave Darling charging through into third. Jacob Burns and Mark Jenison finished the top-five. Connor Souza, Derek Gluchacki, Richie Murray, Chase Belcher and Andrew Gomes rounded out the top-10. The Late Models will be back on track on Saturday, July 20 for 30 laps. SEEKONK, Mass. — Dick Benoit finally took the checkered flag at the front of the field. After many years of trying in the Pro Stocks, Benoit was celebrating on Saturday night at the Action Track of the East. His first career Pro Stock win came in dominating fashion, as the driver of the No. 47 rolled to the front right away from pole spot and never looked back. Vinnie Arrenegado was the runner-up - marking yet another second place finish. Arrenegado has now finished in the runner-up spot in every single Pro Stock event this season. He was followed by Dave Darling, who finished third after starting 10th. Mike Brightman and Saturday’s Late Model winner Bobby Pelland rounded out the top-five. Mark Jenison finished sixth, followed by Dylan Estrella, Colbey Fournier, Tommy Adams and Kenny Spencer. The Pro Stocks will be back on track on Saturday, July 20, for another 40-lap feature. SEEKONK, Mass. — The NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites are known for wings, quick times and high speed excitement. Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway, all of those came together into one for the annual Boston Louie Seymour Memorial Classic events. Both divisions were on hand - the Lites for 50 laps - and the NEMA Midgets for 29. The Lites race took just 10 minutes to complete and so did the NEMA feature. At the end of it all, Avery Stoehr (NEMA) and Chase Locke (Lites) were celebrating in Victory Lane. Locke won the 50-lap Lite feature in dominating fashion, leading all of the laps. He bested Todd Bertrand, Jake Trainor, PJ Stergios and Paul Scally to take down the big win. In the NEMA Midgets, Stoehr also led all of the laps. Paul Scally chased him to the line in second, marking two top-fives in the same night for him. John Zych, Randy Cabral and Matt O’Brien followed in third through fifth. SEEKONK, Mass. — New to the Helger’s Pure Stocks, Brent Robidoux is looking like a veteran. The driver of the No. 25 jumped out front from his fifth-place starting position and didn’t look back in Friday’s 25-lap feature, rocketing to Victory Lane for the second time in his young career. As a graduate of the Seekonk Youth Racing Association, Robidoux is quickly proving he is going to be a threat right up through the ranks. Mike Henriques charged up to the second spot at the end of the feature, posting yet another podium for his 2023 season, a strong run. Jared Cordeira, also a common contender on the podium this season, finished in third. Bobby Bettencourt III led laps early and finished fourth, with Danny Massa rounding out the top-five. SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time in a row, Josh Parsons was celebrating in Seekonk Speedway Victory Lane on Friday night. Parsons took the top spot and never looked back in the 30-lap INEX Legends Cars National Qualifier for the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars. Parsons had to hold off his Nick Lascuola Racing teammate Jacob Burns in the final laps, but he was up to the task. After a strong start to the year, Parsons seems to be hitting his stride heading into the stretch run. Burns followed him to the line in second. Richie Helger Jr. also had another strong run, finishing third in the No. 99. Brendan LaBelle and Dylan Calabro finished the top-five. Chase Silvia, Rodney Dowless Jr., Mason Tessier, Jimmy Silvia and Jaden Hamilton competed the top-10. On Friday night, he was up for the challenge. Robidoux jumped out front and dominated the field to win his first career main event. The victory came in the second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the division. On a night where his brother followed it up by winning in the Helger’s Pure Stocks, it was a special night for the entire Robidoux family at the third-mile. Parker Davis had a strong run, comfortably finishing in the second spot in the Outlaw feature. Nick Uhrig Jr. rebounded from a tangle on the first lap to come back and finish third. He was followed by Ryder Aguiar and Zachary Keith to finish the top-five after 15 laps. Zacarias Kelley, Jordan Duquette, Vincert Sarro, Abbie Badejo and Nathan Zimmerman rounded out the top-10. SEEKONK, Mass. — Luka Dib was back on top on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. In perhaps one of the best Bandolero races in the history of Seekonk Speedway, Dib held off the challenges of Mason Silva and David Bernier to win the second round of the Everett’s Triple Crown Series for the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. While Dib won, it wasn’t decided until the final run to the checkered. Dib, Silva and Bernier swapped the top-three spots multiple times and put on a show for the fans. It was Silva finishing second and Bernier third at the finish, both behind Dib, who was celebrating for the second time this year. Jase Chaber, Ayla Martin and Carl Satterlund Jr finished the field. SEEKONK, Mass. — Matt Pion jumped out front in the second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series main event for the Sport 4’s on Friday night and never looked back. Pion rocketed to his second win of the season, one that has been very successful so far for him. He had a tough task to hold off Justin Leduc in the final laps, but he made it happen.
Leduc would finish second, one week after capturing his first win of the season. Crystal Murray was back on the podium as well, finishing in third. They were joined in the top-five by Tyler Duhancik and David Westgate. Mikey LeFort, Sam Mattera, Daniel Hayes, Richie Johnson and Taylor Bowser rounded out the top-10. SEEKONK, Mass. — As the heat of the summer revs up at Seekonk Speedway, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series drivers are heading straight for the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in September. With Mother Nature cancelling some events, the battle to make the playoffs is down to the final six NASCAR Saturday’s - and not all divisions compete on each night. The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks, Helger’s Sportsman and Pro Stocks are down to 5 races remaining before the field is set. The Late Models are scheduled to compete in all six remaining NASCAR Saturday’s before September. Dates included for the Late Models: July 13, 20, 27 and August 10, 17 and 24 The Trucks/Sportsman are off on July 13 The Pro Stocks are off on July 27 New for 2024, Seekonk Speedway has trimmed the playoff field down to just the top six contenders in the championship standings at the end of the night on August 24. In the Chaz’s Sport Trucks, Mike Duarte is in the lead. Although he hasn’t won, consistency has him a comfortable margin inside the playoffs. He’s joined by four straight 2024 winners - Jake Vanada in second, Rick Martin in third, Tim Bolger Jr. in fourth and Darryl Church in fifth. Right now, Church rounds out the top-five and Amy Arsenault follows in the final playoff spot in sixth. Arsenault is 10 points up on DJ Thibeault (first car outside the bubble) and Mike Cavallaro, who are tied for seventh. Behind them, Marissa Morgan and Tom Scully III are still within striking distance as well, rounding out the top-10 in the current standings.
In the Helger’s Sportsman, Colby Lambert has been the most consistent of all this season and leads by a smooth 19 points over Adam Pettey. For the driver of the No. 57, Pettey has three straight wins in the competitive Sportsman division and is hitting his stride into the summer. In third is Josh Hedges, who won opening night and has been consistently inside the top-10. Behind him, Tyler Almeida and Scott Serydynski Jr are tied for fourth spot, with Doug Benoit behind them holding the final spot in sixth. Just outside the cutline, Randy Moretti is just four points back, while former Fast Friday Pure Stock champion Jeremy Lambert is just 12 back.
The Late Model battle is tight, separated by just two points at the cutline. Charlie Rose leads Luke Lebrun by 8 points for the overall lead, with Jacob Burns in third, Chase Belcher fourth and Mark Jenison in fifth. Richie Murray, the opening night winner, currently holds the final spot, two points ahead of Connor Souza. Andrew Gomes is also just 20 points back in his Rookie season, with Brittany Campbell, also in her Rookie season, just 23 points back. First through sixth are separated by just 29 points with six races to go, meaning anything could change at any time.

The Seekonk Speedway NASCAR Saturday battles continue on Saturday, July 13. The NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites will be in town for their annual Boston Louie Seymour Memorial Classic events, while the Pro Stocks and Late Models will continue their NASCAR season. The stars and cars of seven of Seekonk Speedway’s divisions will be back on the track this weekend, joined by two invading divisions to make up a two-night racing card fans will not want to miss on July 12 and 13. On Friday, July 12, the Everett’s Triple Crown Series continues with both Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero divisions and the Sport 4’s on the track for Triple Crown action. It will be the second consecutive week both of these divisions do battle in the Triple Crown Series. They will be joined by the Helger’s Pure Stocks and Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars to make up a full Fast Friday card, beginning at 7 p.m. On Saturday, July 13, the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites are in town for their annual Boston Louie Seymour Memorial Classic events, giving the Helger’s Sportsman and Chaz’s Sport Trucks the night off. The Late Models are going for round two of their Everett’s Triple Crown, set for 45 laps, while the Pro Stocks are also going to be back for a 40-lap main event. The program begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening. Tickets for both days of racing are available online in advance at SeekonkSpeedway.com. Fast Friday’s Bandolero divisions continue to produce some exciting racing for Seekonk’s youth competitors, with over a handful of first-time winners already this season. In the Bandit division, David Bernier, Mason Silva and Luka Dib have been extremely consistent, winning all of the races amongst themselves. In the Outlaws, the story has Brody Wakefield, Bryson Robidoux, Mike Hanafin, Parker Davis and Nick Uhrig Jr. up at the front. In the Sport 4’s, the current championship standings have Matt Pion at the top by 16 points over Richie Johnson. Although Johnson has been rather quiet this season, his breakout moment could be coming. Taylor Bowser is in third, with defending and two-time champion Crystal Murray and Justin Leduc not far behind heading into Friday’s 30-lap feature. The Helger’s Pure Stock division has been through multiple different winners so far this season - Jared Cordeira, Ethan Souza, Brent Robidoux and Mike Henriques. In the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends, Richie Helger Jr shows the way in their title battle, with Jacob Burns and Brenden LaBelle close behind. All three of them have won this year - along with Josh Parsons who is currently sixth in the standings. Some who haven’t won yet for fans to watch this week: Mason Tessier, Rodney Dowless and Chase Silvia. On NASCAR Saturday, the winged warriors of the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites are back in town. The Boston Louie event will draw some of the top talent to Seekonk for this high-speed, open-wheel division and fans will not want to miss it, while also catching some weekly Seekonk racing, including round two of the Everett’s Triple Crown for the Late Models, set for 45 laps. Last year in the major event, Avery Stoehr picked up the NEMA Midgets win, while Jake Trainor went to Victory Lane in the NEMA Lite special. Both of those names will be back this year to defend their crowns. Trainor scored arguably the biggest win of his young career in 2023 in the Little 500. Former NASCAR star Ken Schrader will return to Seekonk to pilot a Seymour Racing No. 29 entry in the NEMA Lites. Fans can also be prepared to see open-wheel star Sammy Swindell competing on Saturday, driving for Bertrand mMotorsports in the No. 4. In total, over 30 winged warriors will head to the Action Track of the East between the two divisions. NEMA announcer Pete Falconi will be joined during the night by former TV Personality Jack Arute Sr. and former NASCAR announcer Allen Bestwick. In the Late Models, the second round of their Everett’s Triple Crown Series could see anyone up front at the end.
