SEEKONK, Mass. — After leaving his No. 88 in the garage to start the season, AJ Manuel decided it was time to go back to work at Seekonk Speedway. The former Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 champion rolled onto the track for the first time on September 10, and started seventh. Before the end of the 25-lap feature, Manuel was carrying the checkered flag.
Manuel passed Dave Simpson Jr. for the lead on lap 12 and never looked back, taking down the victory in his first race of the year. While Manuel drove away out front, Simpson and points leader Mikey LeFort had an intense battle to the finish, with Simpson taking the second spot over LeFort, as the two drivers wrapped the podium. Sam Mattera finished fourth, followed by Henry Lavallee.
Karlin Levesque finished sixth, followed by Jaden Hamilton, Jarrod Freitas, Christian Herman and Christine Cavallaro.

The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 division will return to the track on Friday, September 17 for another 25-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
