RYAN KUHN EXTENDS POINTS LEAD WITH THIRD STRAIGHT SEEKONK VIRTUAL WIN
BY SOUZA MEDIA/KYLE SOUZA
SEEKONK, Mass. — Ryan Kuhn passed fellow Seekonk Speedway iRacing Road Trip Tour driver PJ Evans in the second half of the race and held on to score the victory in the Barrington Automotive 75 on Thursday night. The race was the fifth of six on the virtual Seekonk Road Trip Tour presented by Souza Media for the 2021 season.
Early on, former Seekonk Sport Truck real-life champion Richie Murray showed the way through a flurry of cautions, but it was Evans who took control for much of the middle portion of the race. Kuhn was able to make the pass and lead the final 29 laps en route to his third straight victory in the Road Trip Tour. The win allowed him to open his points lead to 18 points with just one race left on the schedule.
Thomas Axsom finished second, while Evans crossed the line third. Murray rebounded to fourth, after dropping to the bottom of the top 10 at halfway, while Chase Belcher was fifth.
