SEEKONK, Mass. — It was the perfect night Adam Pettey had been looking for all season long. The driver of the No. 57 in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman rolled to the front early in the 25-lap feature on September 18 and never looked back once he took the lead, hoisting the trophy for his first win of the season.
However — it wasn’t easy — as Pettey had to hold off the hard challenges of some of the divisions best to do it in the final laps. When the checkered flag went in the air, Chad Baxter — who also clinched the division championship a week early — was second in the running order, with Craig Pianka charging to the podium late, finishing in third. Ryan Lineham was fourth, with Corey Fanning rounding out the top-five.
Joe Kohler was sixth, followed by Scott Serydynski Jr., Colby Lambert, Ed Perry and Jim Silvia.
The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment will return to the track on Saturday, September 24, for the annual Fall Classic — the final points event of the year. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit and follow the track on social media for the latest updates.
