SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time in his young career, Stephen Bowden held the checkered flag at Seekonk Speedway on Friday, September 17. Bowden took the lead at lap two and enjoyed a comfortable margin for much of the 15-lap Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw feature, scoring the trophy.
While Bowden raced to the win — the racing behind him was some of the best Seekonk has seen with the Bandolero division since the inception of the class. The field was four — and maybe even five-wide at one point — with names like Adam Harrison, Brent Robidoux, Bradley Strickland and Richie Helger Jr. all battling it out inside the top-five.
While Bowden won, Adam Harrison continued a streak of second-place finishes, scoring his fourth in a row, while Jase Mongeon was third. Robidoux and Strickland finished the top-five, ahead of Helger, Andrew Gomes, Chase Silvia, Olivia Dardinski and Dylan Calabro.
The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws have one more race left on their 2021 calendar — next Friday, September 24, with the annual DAV Fall Classic. Helger leads the point standings heading to the final race. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
