SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time this season, Mikey LeFort is celebrating a big win in the Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 division at Seekonk Speedway. LeFort charged from his sixth-place starting spot right to the front of the field on Friday, August 27, taking the top spot on the first lap, and leading all 25 circuits en route to the victory.
However — it wasn’t an easy final 15 laps — as points leader Crystal Murray chased the back bumper of LeFort’s No. 13 for the entire distance. She tried the bottom lane a few times, looking to get around, but wasn’t quite able to find the room she needed to get the job done. Murray would cross the line second, only losing two points in the championship battle.
Jaden Hamilton was third, his best run of his young career in the No. 04, while Karlin Levesque was fourth, and recent first-time winner Dave Simpson Jr. finishing the top-five. Jarrod Freitas finished sixth, followed by Sam Mattera, Daniel Hayes, Christine Cavallaro and Kaleb Marcou.
The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 division will return to the track on Friday, September 10, after a week off. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest updates.
