Seekonk Speedway would like to thank all of the competitors for a great year of highly competitive racing in the Troy City Tactical Spectator Drags.
An Issue has arisen with the final race of the year. It has been brought to the Race Directors attention that a car competed without passing through tech inspection. ALL cars must pass through tech inspection before racing, this is not something that can be overlooked. The result of this infraction is a disqualification for the days events and loss of points. The car in question is the Fiero driven by Kenny Kline and his 4th place finish. This does not affect the podium for the days race but does affect the championship standings and moves Kevin Farnum into first place and awards him the 2018 TCT Spectator Drag Champion. Kevin and Kenny each had a great season of racing ending with Farnum out running Kline in the consolation round of the Finale for Third Place.
In the future, the Speedway must put a strict enforcement on cut off times to make sure ALL cars are put thru tech properly to ensure fair competition for all drivers involved.
Congratulations to Kevin Farnum on winning the season points Championship.
Thank you for your understanding and congratulations to all for putting on a great season of racing for the fans and we hope to see everyone back for 2019.
