FOR THE FIRST TIME: SOUZA WIRES PURE STOCK FIELD TO SCORE BIG TROPHY

SEEKONK, Mass. — Fans didn’t know who Ethan Souza was when the season started at Seekonk Speedway, but after his performance on August 27, they will remember his name forever. Souza started from the pole position in the 25-lap Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stock feature, and never looked back, leading the race from start to finish and pulling into Victory Lane for the first time.
With some help from six-time track champion Fred Astle Jr., Souza has quickly become a force to be contended with in the Pure Stocks. Jared Cordeira has been another impressive name in the last few weeks, scoring a second-place finish in the No. 20, while points leader Greg Perry returned to the podium, extending his lead with a third-place finish.
Jim Reilly finished fourth, scoring his second best career run, while Jeremy Lambert returned to the top-five for the first time in multiple weeks. Jordan Threlfall was sixth, followed by Danny Massa, Joey Morrissette, Timmy Ouellette and Mike Henriques.
The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stock division will return to the track on Friday, September 10, after a week off. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest updates.
