FANNING GRABS ANOTHER SPORTSMAN WIN IN CHAOTIC FEATURE

SEEKONK, Mass. — Corey Fanning parked his No. 11 back in Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman Victory Lane on Saturday, September 11, edging Chad Baxter in the final laps to take down the big win. It was the second of the year for Fanning, who has been consistently inside the top-five, specifically during the second half of the year.
However, while Fanning celebrated his win, the race started with a chaotic crash on the backstretch. More than 10 cars were involved in the opening lap wreck, with at least nine cars not even recording one completed lap. Among them were Crystal Serydynski, Scott Serydynski Jr., Jimmy Silvia, Rob Kohler and Mike Mitchell.
After the cleanup, it was Fanning, Baxter, Joe Kohler, Ed Perry, Adam Pettey and Ryan Lineham that put on a show, with the six drivers finishing that way at the end of the 25 laps. Steve Axon charged into seventh at the end, with Vinny Pangelinan, Craig Pianka and Colby Lambert finishing the top-10 spots.
The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will return to the track on Saturday, September 18, with just two races left in the season. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
