SEEKONK, Mass. — After consistently running inside the top-five for a good portion of the season, Mike Duarte finally found himself where he wanted to be on Saturday, September 18. The driver of the No. 50 in the Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks rocketed to the front from the outside pole, leading the first lap, and he never relinquished the top spot en route to his first NASCAR win of the season.
It wasn’t his first career win — but it was an emotional one for Duarte — who celebrated with snow angles in turn three, on the track surface. Duarte had to hold off the hard charges of Mike Cavallaro, Brittany Campbell, Barry Shaw and Rick Martin, who finished in the top-five.
Martin restarted on the outside of the front row in the late laps, but fell back, and couldn’t muster the run he needed to get back to Victory Lane. Daryl Church was sixth, followed by Amy Arsenault, Jake Vanada, Lenny Guy and Gil Bradstreet.

The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks will return to the track on Saturday, September 24, for the annual Fall Classic — the final points event of the year. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest updates.
