SEEKONK, Mass. — It might have been the final race of a long Fast Friday night at Seekonk Speedway, but the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws didn’t leave the track without fireworks. Nick Chaber Jr. was involved in a wreck early in the 15-lap feature, but when the checkered flag went in the air, Chaber was the one holding the trophy for the second straight week.
The race included multiple cautions, and a red flag — but the final few laps were worth the price of admission for the battle at the front.
Richie Helger Jr. led laps in the middle portion of the race, but didn’t have quite enough to hold off Chaber in the final few laps and had to settle for second. The two drivers battled hard, but cleanly, on multiple restarts in the final few laps. While they did that, the battle behind them was hot for all positions in the field.
Unfortunately for Joey LeMay, Chase Silvia, Andrew Gomes and Adam Harrison, their nights ended early due to contact in a few scary accidents. All drivers were able to escape their cars without injury.
The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw division will return to the track on Friday, July 30, at 7 p.m. for another 15-lap feature event. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit and follow the track on social media.
