At the beginning of the year, Peter Bennett didn’t think Seekonk was going to be his home track, but after a few weeks of success, and a summer filled with front-running finishes, Bennett made the decision to stick it out and chase the title. In the end, it was a good choice. Bennett went into the final night in position to just finish the race, and he did that — earning the crown by 12 points over Josh Parsons, who posted the most wins of anyone in the division. Brendon Hammann, who earned his first career win this season, would finish third in the title chase.
