BACK TO THE TOP: HELGER TAKES WIN, POINTS LEAD BACK IN BANDO OUTLAWS

SEEKONK, Mass. — The 15-lap Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw feature saw a few chaotic moments, but in the end, it was Richie Helger Jr. doing everything he needed to do.
Helger started near the front of the field in his No. 99, and quickly worked his way to the lead on lap two. From there, he never relinquished the top spot — but his second victory of the season didn’t come easy.
Helger had to hold off the hard charges of Nick Chaber Jr., who nearly took the spot away before a caution. However, Chaber and Joey LeMay got together racing inside the top-five a few laps later, and both of their nights ended early. When that happened, it was clear sailing for Helger.
He took down the victory, which helped him grab the points lead back, with two races left in the season. Adam Harrison finished second for the third straight race, while Stephen Bowden was third, Brent Robidoux fourth and Chase Silvia fifth.
Dylan Calabro was sixth, followed by Andrew Gomes, Cheyenne Cooper, LeMay and Chaber.
The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, September 17 for another 15-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
