Anthony owned, operated, and promoted the Speedway until his death in 1991. Anthony received the promoter of the year award in 1978. His wife Irene continued till her passing in 2014, her son Francis, and grandson David continue the tradition of operating the speedway. Know as the “Action track of the East” Seekonk Speedway has been family owned, operated, and promoted for 80 consecutive years.

NASCAR Racing
Saturday nights, the NASCAR Pro Stocks headline action with 40 lap feature races in a division that includes plenty of veterans. The NASCAR Late Models, Sports Trucks and Sportsman also join them each week, with the Sportsman class providing three-wide action for laps on end. Whether it’s drivers breaking into action in their first season, or veterans chasing yet another championship, the combination of both on the track together provides fans with plenty of excitement.

FAST FRIDAYS
The Fast Friday Series is known for the thrilling racing that the upcoming talent of the track provides. Drivers from the ages of 7 and up race side-by-side each Friday night beginning in June and lasting through September. Divisions include INEX legends, Pure Stocks, Sport Fours and Bandoleros.

THRILL SHOWS
Five times a year, Seekonk Speedway holds Thrill Shows, packing the grandstands with fans and providing some of the top action that New England has to offer. Whether it’s enduro races or drivers bringing their streetcar onto the track for drag racing, the Thrill Shows offer plenty of thrills and spills.
No matter the night, the elation of winning an event at the third-mile oval is second to none. The history that surrounds the Speedway dates back to the late 1940s, with one family, the Venditti’s, in control ever since the beginning.
