SEEKONK, Mass. — Nick Chaber Jr. dealt with a lot in Friday’s Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw feature, scoring his first win of the season in round one of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series, but also watching his teammate’s night end early.
From the drop of the green, it didn’t take long for chaos to happen, with Jase Mongeon going straight into the turn two wall in the midst of the second lap. Mongeon was able to escape from the car, showcasing the impressive safety equipment. After a bit of a scare, the race continued with Chaber jumping out to the lead and driving away from the field.
It was clear that the former division winner wasn’t going to be denied on this night, winning the race by over one second in the No. 00 machine. Behind him, Bradley Strickland scored his best career Seekonk finish, a second-place, while Steve Bowden was third. Adam Harrison worked his way up into the fourth spot, while Richie Helger Jr. followed up a win the race before with a fifth.
Brent Robidoux was sixth, followed by Chase Silvia, Andrew Gomes, Cheyenne Cooper and Aubrey Keller.
The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, July 23, with another 15-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit and follow the track on social media.
