Seekonk MA – Seekonk Speedway, in collaboration with INEX and our new youth racing sponsor, Seekonk Grand Prix, is excited to announce a new class to its youth racing program with the INEX Bandolero’s. The Bandoleros will compete in 17 races in the 2017 season on Fast Fridays at Seekonk Speedway and compete for Track, State and National Championships. INEX scores its Bandolero division in two classes, Bandits (ages 8-11) and Outlaws (ages 12-16).

“We have enjoyed great support from youth racing teams in our Mini Cup division for almost two decades, but need to expand the division to allow our young racers to grow within a more structured system. INEX offers a system that has proven successful with the Legends and we look forward to working with them and growing a successful youth program” states David Alburn, Competition Director at Seekonk Speedway.

INEX is the international sanctioning body of the Legends, Bandolero, Thunder Roadster, and Legends Dirt Modified Cars. Formed in 1995, INEX was developed to promote, organize and sanction Legend Cars, Bandolero, Thunder Roadster, and Legends Dirt Modified cars racing across the United States, Canada and Europe.

INEX is the third largest short track sanctioning body behind NASCAR Weekly Racing and International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) with more than 3,500 members. INEX annually sanctions more than 2,000 races at more than 200 different tracks throughout the world. These tracks include short tracks, road courses and facilities like New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and more.

Seekonk Grand Prix is a family fun center in Seekonk, Massachusetts that features Go Karts, Slick Tracks, Arcade Games, Bumper Boats, Miniature Golf and more. “It’s great to see kids come up from a great youth program and see them in NASCAR divisions on a Saturday night in just a few years” admits Wayne Darling, Owner of the Seekonk Grand Prix.

“We are proud to be able to give young racers a chance to have an affordable program to hone their skills as they begin their motorsports career. It’s great to see the families become involved in racing and spend quality time together doing something they love and working as a team becoming part of their child’s racing experience”, states Ed St Germain, Director of Business Development at Seekonk Speedway.

The opening event for the Seekonk Grand Prix sponsored Bandoleros will be on Friday June 2, 2017.
