Seekonk Speedway completes their 2011 season by celebrating with their Champions

On Saturday, January 14, several hundred friends and family members gathered at the Venus de Milo in Swansea, MA to witness the 2011 Champions crowned. Joining in at the head table were Pro Stock Champion Fred Astle Jr, who picked up his record 6^th Pro Stock title, Gerry DeGasparre Jr, who joined the head table for the fifth time in his career as the Late Model Champion, Mike Cavallaro, a four time Sport Truck Champion, Ryan Lineham, who picked up his first career Street Stock title.

INEX Legend Cars to join Fast Fridays at Seekonk Speedway, presented by Nick’s Pit Stop.

Seekonk Speedway is proud to announce that the US Legend cars sanctioned by INEX , Presented by Nick’s Pit Stop, will be an addition to the Fast Friday Line up for the 2012 Race Season. The US Legend Cars have just celebrated their 20th anniversary, and will become part of the rich history of the oldest continuous family run speedway in the country.

On October 8^th, the green flag unfurled for the twentieth annual DAV Fall Classic at the “Action Track of the East,” Seekonk Speedway. In the feature portion of the opening day, the Seekonk Youth Racing Association 600 and 750 classes took to the track accompanied by the Sport Fours, NEMA Lites, and Pure Stocks.

Following a one week hiatus due to rain, the “Fast Friday” series at Seekonk Speedway wrapped up its 2011 season on September 30^th. In the SYRA 600 class, Chase Belcher picked up the victory while Curtis Rolando took home the title. In the SYRA 750s, Kaitlyn Donovan notched another victory but Branden Dion clinched the championship. Chris Bissell notched his first career win in the Sport Four division and Kyle Pacheco ended his rookie campaign with the championship. In the headlining division, Randy Moretti won the feature, but Bill Chouinard finished second to secure the championship by just four points.

In the features, Taylor Bowser, Kyle Pacheco, Branden Dion, Ryan Bigelow, and Bill Chouinard all notched victories in the SYRA 600, Sport Four, SYRA 750, NEMA Lites, and Pure Stock divisions.
