Mike Holdridge ofMadison CTwon his second career Valenti Modified Racing Series event, and became the eighth different winner in the 8 Fall Classics for the VMRS. 5 time Late Model Champion Gerry DeGasparre Jr. ofPawtucket,RI, broke an 0-fer streak that goers back to his rookie season in the Street Stocks in 1993 in winning the LM portion of the DAV.CoventryRI’s Ryan Lineham broke through to join his father as Street Stock winners in the Fall Classic. Johnny Benson makes it two for two in the Race Against Cancer ISMA 100. Steve Axon takes home the Street Stock Open, while Sparky MacIver and Seth Carlson win in undercards.

Johnny Benson came back to Seekonk Speedway to forge a repeat to his 2010 Racing Against Cancer Supermodified win, despite the fact that he faced three of the top-5 all-time winners in the International Supermodified Association – Russ Wood, Chris Perley and Mike Ordway, with a total of 152 wins.  But the Michigan native failed to be intimidated and instead roared off to lead the field of top-flight challengers around the old bullring in dominating fashion.

Moretti, Bissell, Donovan and Belcher claim Fast Friday wins. Chouinard, Pacheco, Dion and Rolando claim Fast Friday Titles.

Following a one week hiatus due to rain, the “Fast Friday” series at Seekonk Speedway wrapped up its 2011 season on September 30th. In the SYRA 600 class, Chase Belcher picked up the victory while Curtis Rolando took home the title. In the SYRA 750s, Kaitlyn Donovan notched another victory but Branden Dion clinched the championship. Chris Bissell notched his first career win in the Sport Four division and Kyle Pacheco ended his rookie campaign with the championship. In the headlining division, Randy Moretti won the feature, but Bill Chouinard finished second to secure the championship by just four points.
