Delaney, Susan, B., (Masse), 61, of Crescent View Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on April 20, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the former wife of Lionel E. Delaney Jr.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Armand H. and Rita H. (Desmarais) Masse, she lived in Riverside for 18 years.
Mrs. Delaney was a Senior Clerk for Citizens Bank in the Rendering Department for 12 years.
Susan was a foster parent for the Department of Social Services in Fall River, MA for many years. A sports enthusiast, she enjoyed football, baseball, and NASCAR racing especially watching her son race at Seekonk Speedway.
She is survived by two sons; Darren J. Delaney and his partner Daniel Matos of Allentown, PA and Patrick J. Delaney of Fall River, MA and his girlfriend; Andrea Simmons of Smithfield, her best friend; Maureen E. Linhares and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Carl Delaney and sister of the late Armand L. Masse and Pauline Wilson.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 pm.
