On Sunday, September 4^th, the Pure Stocks raced as part of Seekonk Speedway’s Labor Day Celebration, and the Pure Stocks held up their part of the party. Taunton’s Jesse Melberg jumped out front on lap 3 and never looked back, holding off John Robidoux over the last several laps and a couple of restarts.

Valenti Modified Racing Series set to visit Seekonk for their first time in 2011.

On Saturday, August 20, the Valenti Auto Mall Modified Racing Series will visit Seekonk Speedway for the first time the year, for a 100 lap main event. This will mark the 17^th visit for the VMRS to the Bay State oval since their inception in 2004.

Mighty Mike Brightman came back from two consecutive weeks of crash-related disappointments to post a big Pro Stock win on the evening of his daughter’s birthday. Brightman posted the best lap of the event enroute to a seat-squirming victory over points leader Fred Astle.

On August 12^th, the ”Fast Friday” program returned to the Seekonk Speedway for an action packed night of entry level racing. The Seekonk Youth Racing Association 600 and 750 classes, the Sport Four division, the Allison Legacy North Series, and Pure Stocks, took to the “Action Track of the East,” and Curtis Rolando, Kaitlyn Donovan, Rich Sprague, James Logan, and John Robidoux notched the victories.
