This Week at the Action Track of the East!

Welcome back to the Action Track of the East, New England racing fans. I’m glad to see each and everyone of you here this weekend for is now already going to be the halfway point of the season. This week we have more round two action of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series as drivers prepare for the finale in the coming weeks. Fast Friday will see round two for the Nick’s Pit Stop Legend Cars with more than 25 cars expected to be in battle for the extra distance feature. With 30 laps and double points up on the line, there is no telling what could happen. Jordan Lamothe will return after missing action last week due to a vacation and will be looking to pounce. He has gone winless in the last two races after winning three quick feature events right off the bat. You will see names like Jesse Melberg, Brandon Martinez and Chris Robbins battle it out for glory in round two. Joining the Legend Cars will be the SYRA 600 and SYRA 750, Pure Stocks and Sport 4. It will be interesting to see if Corey Caddick can repeat in the Sport 4 class, after dominating and driving away by more than half the track last week. It was an impressive showing for sure. The SYRA drivers have seen some interesting feature races so far. Hard battles throughout the field which has included some hard crashes have highlighted the action. On Saturday night, we have the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series round two for the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Pro Stock division. The...

O’Sullivan, Moretti, Toner, Caddick & Serydynski Take Home Fast Friday Wins!

O’SULLIVAN HOLDS OFF MARTINEZ IN LEGENDS SEAT-SQUIRMER John O’Sullivan nailed down his first Legends divisional win in heroic fashion, surviving a 13-lap dogfight with Brandon “Batman” Martinez, Chris Robbins and Ryan Kuhn. Martinez had moved past O’Sullivan on lap 15 immediately after depriving Ryan Kuhn of second, but O’Sullivan battled back one circuit later. They locked nose-to-tail with Robbins and Kuhn bearing down on them as they roared toward the finish. Martinez caught O’Sullivan with a drop-under move when they made a lap 22 restart and was headed away, but was halted by a four-car wreck on the same lap. They lined back up but this time O’Sullivan defended well and they brawled to the finish line, O’Sullivan holding Martinez off for a .2-second win. Robbins roared in .3 back while Kuhn grabbed fourth, still on the same second. Colin Haley ran in for fifth. Shileigh Martinez, Brandon’s Sister, leapt off the outside pole at the outset and O’Sullivan passed polesitter Brendon Hammond into second. But Ray Parent was around between turns one and two, bringing a lap 2 restart. Shileigh was off the pole rapidly as O’Sullivan pursued but Brandon Packard spun in turn one for a second lap two caution. She was away again, but this time O’Sullivan came back for a duel and Robbins, who had come from seventh on the green nosed past into second. Packard, Kuhn and Brendan Hammond gave chase until Jessica O’Leary lost speed ane Jesse Melberg spun trying to avoid her. Again, Shileigh pulled rapidly away, this time from Robbins. But the duo roared up on either side, creating a...

This Week at the Action Track of the East!

THIS WEEK AT THE ACTION TRACK OF THE EAST!!! This week at the Action Track of the East we have a star-studded lineup on both the Friday and Saturday night program. On Friday evening, we are excited to begin round two of the 2015 Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series with the Sport 4 class. We have been through each of our divisions once in the Triple Crown Series now on both Friday and Saturday. So far, after round one, David Westgate holds the lead in the Triple Crown Series standings. He took the checkered flag in round one of the series back on June 5, just over a month ago. He will be looking for his third overall win of 2015 and looking to not only pad his Triple Crown points lead, but his overall drivers points lead as well. Joining the Sport 4 division on Friday will be the SYRA classes, both the 600 and 750. Both divisions come off their Phil’s Triple Crown races two weeks ago and the championship battles have tightened up throughout. Marissa Morgan leads the 600 championship fight coming in and Shea Kulpa leads the 750 championship run. Both ladies will be looking for their first career championship and Morgan is still chasing her first career track victory. They would become the second and third lady champions in the history of the Seekonk Speedway. Last season, Shelby Donavan took the SYRA 750 title. On Saturday evening our Saturday night divisions begin round two of their Triple Crown Series with a double-dipper for the fans. Since it rained two weeks ago, both the...

This week here at the Action Track of the East we have the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series rolling on for a fifth consecutive weekend! On Fast Friday we will see the SYRA divisions rise to the top looking for glory in their respective 20 lap feature events. With the racing we have seen thus far in the SYRA division, especially the 750, these Triple Crown races could spell some of the best racing across the Northeast. Watch for Shea Kulpa to continue her strong runs in the SYRA 750 this weekend. Kulpa, a two-time feature winner already this year, has one of the best handling cars the division has seen in recent memory. It seems as if when the Donavan sisters left the class, Bowser and Kulpa picked up as the lady leaders. In the SYRA 600, watch for Anthony Marvin and Marissa Morgan to continue their championship fight. They both battled hard coming from the back to the front of the field to the front late in last weeks main event and this week could either spell success or big trouble. With double points up on the line in the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series, one of those drivers could go from leading the standings to outside the top five in a blink of an eye. Also...

Lamothe, Arsenault, Kulpa, Herman & Lebrun Take Fast Friday Wins!

LAMOTHE HAULS DOWN THIRD WIN IN LEGENDS Jordan Lamothe held off a charging Nick Lascuola for the final half of the Legends feature enroute to his third victory in four tries. Lamothe had just relieved Chris Robbins of the lead when the current champion hauled in on his bumper for the challenge to the checkers. Robbins continued to debate in third untilJesse Melberg srotmed past Ryan Kuhn into fourth. Melberg briefly edged Lascuaola out of second, but fell back to fourth as Brandon “ Batman” Martinez took over third.. Brandon Packard claimed fifth on the evening. Kuhn jumped off the pole to lead the first lap, but Lascuola nabbed his bumper with Robbins and Joey Lembo lining up behind. As Lascuola took over the lead, Robbins moved to second ahead of Kuhn, who was followed by Jake Johnson and Batman Martinez. Lascuola wasted no time in going out to a ten car lead over Robbins, who collected Kuhn on his bumper. Jake Johnson elevated to fourth, ahead of Martinez. But Johnson tried to shut the door on Martinez’ pass and hooked bumpers. They went around in turn two. The lap six restart saw Lascuola jump out, but Robbins fired back up for a duel at the front. As Robbins and Lamothe roared ahead, Lascuola found himself engulfed in a three-wide with them. Robbins grabbed the front with Lamothe second and Lascuola third. Kuhn followed, ahead of Melberg and Martinez. By lap 12, the leading trio were bumper to bumper and Melberg had moved in behind Kuhn. Brandon Packard moved into fifth. Melberg wenty for the pass but had...

THIS WEEK AT THE ACTION TRACK: Welcome back race fans! Last weekend we saw some great racing action on both our Fast Friday and Super Saturday program. Friday, it was a thrilling battle in the SYRA 750 that really grabbed my eyes. The field battled three and four wide on multiple occasions and Taylor Bowser made some impressive moves in route to her first win of the season. Congrats go out to her and her dad on a job well done. The Pit Party on Saturday was a huge success. It was great to see the fans down on the track showing support for the drivers and grabbing some of the candy that the drivers brought to show their thanks. Kudos to all involved in making that happen and all of the fans for coming out. It was also great to see Manny Dias return to Street Stock Victory Lane after a long, LONG layoff. Congrats go out to Manny and his crew on an awesome setup and drive on the track. Congrats to TJ Thompson in the Legend Cars and Charlie Rose in the Late Models for winning Triple Crown races last weekend as well. Now.. Onto this week at the Action Track… The Fast Friday series will continue with round one of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series for the Pure Stock class along with the Brad Scott Memorial. Those drivers come to the track each and every week fighting for every inch they can get and put on a thrilling show. With the added five laps and the added incentive to try and chase the Triple...
