Moretti, Bissell, Donovan and Belcher claim Fast Friday wins. Chouinard, Pacheco, Dion and Rolando claim Fast Friday Titles.

Following a one week hiatus due to rain, the “Fast Friday” series at Seekonk Speedway wrapped up its 2011 season on September 30th. In the SYRA 600 class, Chase Belcher picked up the victory while Curtis Rolando took home the title. In the SYRA 750s, Kaitlyn Donovan notched another victory but Branden Dion clinched the championship. Chris Bissell notched his first career win in the Sport Four division and Kyle Pacheco ended his rookie campaign with the championship. In the headlining division, Randy Moretti won the feature, but Bill Chouinard finished second to secure the championship by just four points.

In the features, Taylor Bowser, Kyle Pacheco, Branden Dion, Ryan Bigelow, and Bill Chouinard all notched victories in the SYRA 600, Sport Four, SYRA 750, NEMA Lites, and Pure Stock divisions.

On Sunday, September 4th, the Pure Stocks raced as part of Seekonk Speedway’s Labor Day Celebration, and the Pure Stocks held up their part of the party. Taunton’s Jesse Melberg jumped out front on lap 3 and never looked back, holding off John Robidoux over the last several laps and a couple of restarts.

Les Hinckley started sixteenth on a nineteen-car field and slowly picked his way through the field for more than half the race before igniting the afterburners and storming to the front for a battle royal with Dwight Jarvis.
