Derek Debbis started his second race in SYRA 600 competition on the pole and never relinquished the lead, enroute to his first career win.  He was challenged by outside polesitter Brandon Lillie early, then had to hold off David White for seventeen laps enroute to his win, a half-second between the two cars.  Eric LeBrun, Brett Meservey and Matthew Barboza completed the top five.

Debbis and Brandon Lillie led off with LeBrun and White in the second row.  Debbis grabbed the front and Lillie settled in with White, LeBrun and Madison Birchall in pursuit.  Kendra Laquek spun coming through turn four but was able to gather it back in and continued.

Lillie tried to get underneath Debbis and there was contact.  Lillie spun to the infield in turn two, but he also kept it going and there were no cautions.

By lap four, Debbis had White on his bumper with LeBrun, Birchall, Doug Meservey, Jessica O’Leary, Brett Meservey and Matt Barboza in pursuit.  Brett was on the move, as over the next few laps, he moved pastO’Leary, then his brother Doug for position.  Lap fifteen saw them door-to-door for fourth, behind Birchall.

The race became a virtual parade to the finish with Debbis holding off White.  On the final lap, the two Meserveys moved three wide on either side of Birchall for fourth.  Brett was able to hold on and locked into fourth, but Doug and Birchall got loose and fell back, Madison to eleventh and Doug to twelfth.

Best lap time on the event went to Brett Meservey with a 16.282, while his sister, Cassie took second best time with 16.484.  Rounding out the top ten finishers were:  O’Leary, Thomas Morsehead, Jr., Cassie Meservey, Joey Lembo and Sarah DeMello.
